We have policies that shape the way we deliver services to the people of Kent.These policies, once agreed by members of the county council, guide the way we develop services for the future.

Equality and Diversity

Our services aren't the same, and neither are our people. We are a major employer and our staff and elected members are committed to promoting equality, valuing diversity and combating unfair treatment. Read our Equality and Diversity policy.

Customer Care policy

We are working hard to improve Customer Care across all our services for the people of Kent.

Section 17 Crime and Disorder Act 1998 - our reponsibilites

It our policy to ensure that Kent residents can live their lives in security and safety. Under Section 17 Crime and Disorder Act 1998 we are obligated to incorporate community safety into our planning, our policy and our operational day-to-day activity.

Kent Compact

The Kent Compact agreement has helped us to improve and enhance our partnership with the voluntary and community sector.

The Kent Commitment

Together with the county's 12 district councils, we have signed the Kent Commitment agreement to co-operatively shape the area's economic growth and regeneration.

Data Quality policy

The Data Quality policy communicates our commitment to data quality and outlines specific good practice guidance and advice to those involved in the production and use of data.
