Your County - Putting Kent First

Kent 4 star Council

Funding for community projects

Local Boards have three types of funds available to support local community projects:

Member Community Grants

Each of our 84 county councillors can provide financial support of up to £10,000 each year for projects that benefit local communities. This funding has helped a wide range of projects including youth groups, environmental projects and facilities for older people. Find out how to apply for a Member Community Grant.

Small Community Capital Projects

Each Local Board can consider bids up to £20,000 (except for Dover which is £5,000) for larger capital projects. These grants have helped voluntary organisations with equipment costs, funded after-school clubs and helped preserve Kent's landscape. Find out how to apply for a Small Community Capital Grant.

Local Schemes Grant

There is £400,000 available through the Local Schemes Grant. Please contact your Community Liaison Manager for further information on the amount allocated to your district. Find out how to apply for a Local Schemes Grant.
