We co-ordinate and support the development of bids by
internal colleagues and local partners for external funding to
enhance and develop quality services for Kent.
What is External Funding?
External funding is money obtained through bids to
money-granting organisations such as the
National Lottery distributors, government departments and
charitable trusts and foundations. For KCC this is money in
addition to its main budget.
During 2007-08 KCC received more than £5m of external funds and
during 2007 (calendar year) the voluntary and community sector in
Kent received over £12m from the National Lottery distributors
alone.
