Kent Big Society Fund

Launched by Kent County Council in partnership with Kent Community Foundation, the Kent Big Society Fund will help social enterprise at a time when finance from high street banks and grant funding from the public sector is increasingly difficult.

Supporting our Bold Steps for Kent, the fund has been set up primarily as a loan fund. As social enterprises repay loans, the funds will be recycled to finance further loans.

To be eligible, organisations need to demonstrate that they operate as social enterprises. This can include charities, community interest companies and cooperatives. Applicants must be operating within the Kent County Council administrative area and use the loan finance to benefit Kent residents.
