Policy and strategy

Five Year Strategy 2010-2015

The current Five Year Strategy expires in 2010.  A new strategy is currently being drafted in consultation with stakeholders, partners and service users.  Using the views and opinions collected, the first draft of the new strategy (PDF, 287k) is now available.  Your feedback on the draft would be most welcome to help to shape the future of the programme. Please tell us what you think using the feedback form (MS Word, 64k) and send it back to us by 1 February 2010.

Eligibility Policy

The Kent Eligibility Policy (PDF, 41k) is a policy document covering the delivery of support services with regard to equality of access, guidance on the eligibility of service users and the conditions of both floating support and accommodation based housing-related support. The latest edition of the policy was agreed by the Commissioning Body in December 2008.

Floating Support Protocol

The Supporting People team manages the central waiting list for most floating support services in Kent. The floating support protocol (PDF, 74k) outlines how the referral system works.

Reconnection Policy

The countywide reconnection policy (PDF, 31k) outlines how services will help vulnerable people access services in their local area.

Needs Analyses

The Kent Supporting People team regularly monitors and analyses needs and gaps in service provision. A refreshed needs analysis (Sept 2009, PDF, 848k) is presented every six months to the Commissioning Body.
