You can also visit the Gateway in the Park Mall in Ashford town centre. The Gateway is open Monday to Saturday 9am - 4pm. You should take any documents that may explain what has happened.

Canterbury City Council

You can pick up an application from the Canterbury City Council office in Military Road, Canterbury. Office Opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm.

Dartford Borough Council

If you are homeless or about to become homeless call 01322 343822 or 343370.

You can also visit the Housing Advice Centre located at Dartford Civic Centre. They operate an open advice service so you do not need to book an appointment, although you may have to wait to see an advisor at busy times.

Dover District Council

The offices are based in Whitfield, White Cliffs Business Park. Office opening hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.

There are free phones located in the area offices that you can use to contact the Housing team at Whitfield

Gravesend Borough Council

You can also visit them at 45 Windmill Street, Gravesend. You may have to make an appointment to see an advisor first, as you will need to bring some documents with you.

Maidstone Borough Council

You can call into the office between 9am and 11.30am and between 2pm and 4pm Monday to Friday. You will need to take some documents with you, these include:

  • Proof of identification for all household members.(passport, driving licence etc)
  • Proof of income for all household members (wage slips, benefit letters, bank statements showing benefit/tax credit payments)
  • Proof of address (tenancy agreement, utility bill etc)
    • If you are about to lose your home you need to provide proof such as notice to quit, possession order, letter from landlord or family member.
    • If you have children in your household you need to provide proof that you receive child benefit for them.
  • Proof of pregnancy, if applicable.
  • Proof of immigration status, if applicable

Tonbridge and Malling have contracted out their Homeless assessments to Russet Homes. They will assess homeless applications on behalf of Tonbridge and Malling Council.
