Proof of age
It is our job to make sure that age
restricted items such as alcohol, cigarettes, fireworks and
computer games are not sold to underage people. It is a criminal
offence to sell any of these products to a young person under the
specified age.
How can I prove my age?
Acceptable forms of ID include:

Challenge
25 is a project which aims to reduce the sale of age restricted
products to underage people.
Retailers are encouraged to refuse to sell age restricted
products to anyone who appears to be under the age of 25 years old
and does not have an acceptable form of photo identification.
We are working with retailers to help them to be more aware of
their responsibilities and the consequences of selling to underage
customers.
Fake ID
It is a criminal offence under the Identity Cards Act
2006 to use a fake ID of any kind.
