Community safety strategies and reports
The Community Safety Unit works in partnership with a variety of
public, private and voluntary organisations to ensure that our work
is increasingly focused and effective. It is important that we do
this through active engagement with our communities and by
providing proactive services that help to prevent problems before
they start.
- The
KCC Framework for Community Safety (PDF,
380Kb) outlines priorities, expected achievements and
activities.
- The
Community Safety Agreement (PDF, 226Kb) is designed to
develop a more joined-up approach to public service delivery and to
ensure sustainable and lasting improvements in delivering outcomes.
The key objective of the Agreement is to meet the challenges of
national, county and local aspirations for quality service delivery
and improved levels of community engagement.
- The aim of the
Anti-Social Behaviour Strategy (PDF, 252Kb) is to
offer a collaborative strategy to assist in reducing the level of
anti-social behaviour in communities across the county. This
strategy recognises the importance of working in partnership to
develop and deliver solutions to anti-social behaviour. The
priority will be prevention and early intervention and appropriate
multi-agency action.
- The
Kent and Medway Domestic Abuse Strategy 2010-13 aims to assist
partnerships and agencies in delivering appropriate responses to
those affected by domestic abuse across Kent and Medway.
-
The impact of Offenders and Prisons on Kent’s Public

aspects of public policy relating to prisons and offenders in Kent,
and provides an overview of relationships between different
agencies involved and the impact that ex-offenders and Kent's high
proportion of prisons have on communities and public services.
