Booking a ceremony
Booking your ceremony could not be easier - decide upon the date
and time, and where you want to marry. Watch our new film 'Planning
and Booking a Kentish Ceremony' below for full details about what
you need to do and when. These details apply to all ceremonies
booked in Kent and the London Borough of Bexley.
- If you decide to marry at one of the venues provided by
the county council (a register office) then telephone your local
ceremonies
team. All bookings are subject to availability and it is always
advisable to have a number of options particularly for dates and
times during busy summer months.
- If you wish to marry at a marriage venue licensed by the county
council (for example: hotels, castles, stately homes, gazebos) then
you will need to book this directly with the owner or manager of
the venue. Once they have accepted your booking they will pass this
through to the local register office. Your date and time of
marriage are guaranteed so don't worry that you need to confirm the
availability of a celebrant and registrar before you book the
venue.
Once the register office has received your booking you will be
sent a confirmation.
