Booking a ceremony
Booking your registration and ceremony
could not be easier, all you need to decide is:
- if you want a registration, or a ceremony and registration
- where you want the event to take place
- the date and time that you would like.
Registrations and ceremonies can take place on any day
(including Sundays and bank holidays) between 8am and 6pm. The last
appointment time is 5pm.
Watch our new film 'Planning and Booking a Kentish
Ceremony' below for full details about what you need to do and
when.
Booking your venue
If you decide on one of the venues provided by the county
council (register offices) then contact your local ceremonies
team. All bookings are subject to availability and it is always
advisable to have a number of dates and times especially if you
decide to have a civil partnership ceremony during the busy summer
months.
If you wish to go to a ceremony venue (an approved premise)
licensed by the county council then you will need to book this
directly with the owner or manager of the venue.
For details of all ceremony fees, including our terms and
conditions, please visit our dedicated ceremonies
website.
Once your venue is booked
Once the venue has accepted your booking they will pass the
details through to the local Ceremony Team who will then contact
you. Your date and time of civil partnership are guaranteed so
don't worry that you need to confirm the availability of a civil
partnership registrar before you book the venue. Once the
Ceremonies Team has received your booking you will be sent a
confirmation.
Whichever venue you book, the local Ceremonies Team will guide
you through all the legal preliminaries to the civil partnership
and make sure that these are successfully completed. This will
ensure that your day will be a very special occasion.
If you decide to have a registration and ceremony you will be
given the opportunity to meet the celebrant to discuss the content
of the ceremony.
