The fostering team
We aim to provide a service where children are:
- valued and supported
- encouraged to grow
- develop as individuals and reach their full potential.
We work with foster carers to help them support children in
recognising and establishing their strengths and increasing
their confidence and self-esteem.
We aim to place children and young people with local foster
carers who provide a safe and caring family environment within
their own community. We encourage contact to develop and promote
family links and friendships.
We recognise that well-focused and supported foster care
placements can help to achieve stability in a child's life
encouraging and enabling them to develop into responsible
adults.
Our anti-discriminatory policies promote equal opportunities for
all and value diversity of both foster children and carers,
regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ethnic background, age,
religious belief, disability or marital status.
