What we do

Property Group is responsible for the strategic development of Kent County Council's property portfolio and the delivery of associated professional support services.

The majority of operational services are procured from the external market through contractual arrangements. In summary, operational services fall into five major professional areas:

Building design

• Feasibility studies / design options

Building maintenance

• Reactive maintenance - dealing with day to day problems / repairs on buildings
• Planned maintenance - servicing and inspection of mechanical plant
• Programmed maintenance - larger, more expensive repair programmes, which need to be prepared and budgeted for in advance
