Following a comprehensive re-tendering exercise new
contracts have been awarded for KCC's building maintenance service.
The new arrangements came into effect on 1 April 2006.
As a result of this exercise,
three
geographical areas in the county have each been allocated their
own dedicated consultant:
- Zone 1: Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Dartford,
Gravesham, Tonbridge and Malling - Faber
Maunsell
- Zone 2: Shepway, Ashford and Maidstone -
Mouchel Parkman
- Zone 3: Swale, Canterbury, Thanet and Dover -

Property Group took this opportunity to redesign the structure
and management of the contract in order to add value from greater
performance management. Key performance indicators have been built
in and performance in each area will be continually monitored to
ensure high quality.
Each consultant provides a dedicated point of contact within
their zone enabling more localised service delivery and a better
understanding of client issues.
All building maintenance problems or queries should continue to
be reported to the
Property Service Desk on 0845 3000346. This
telephone number will not change and should also be used for all
out-of-hours emergencies.
