EU funding programmes

The EU is now a Union of 27 member states. The EU has always been keen to support - including financially - projects and links between regions, universities, business organisations and NGOs across Europe, as a way to reinforce transnational co-operation at all levels.

When it comes to funding programmes, the EU offers a wealth of opportunities to get involved. Beyond the Structural Funds programmes (European Social Fund, INTERREG) which are usually very well known, there are a whole range of thematic programmes which offer very interesting opportunities for those who are able to grasp them.
