Who needs to know
|
Everybody should know what to do and what is expected of
them in a crisis and Business Continuity Management (BCM) helps
with this.
BCM is a generic management framework that is valid across the
public, private and voluntary sectors. It is about maintaining the
essential business deliverables of an organisation during a
disruption and forms part of the government's wider resilience
policy.
BCM Methodology
The Business Continuity Institute (BCI) has developed a
five-stage process, which has become widely accepted. This
model provides a generic framework that is applicable across
industry and the service sector. Work is presently underway to
integrate the methodology into a British
Standard. |
