Business Continuity Institute (BCI)
The Business Continuity Institute provides recognition and professional qualifications for business continuity practitioners. Represented in 19 countries, membership brings significant benefits to professionals, including recognition, networking, education and knowledge. Members also benefit from discounts for conferences, training and workshops, on books and publications.

MI5 (Security Updates)
The Security Service is responsible for protecting the UK against threats to national security. Information on the current major threats to UK security and practical advice to help businesses and organisations to protect against them can be found on their website.

UK Resilience (Cabinet Office)
The Civil Contingencies Secretariat in the Cabinet Office provides links to government and non-government sources on a wide variety of emergencies and crises that can affect the UK, plus emergency planning guidance and government information.

KCC Emergency Planning Group (link opens in the same window)
KCC's Emergency Planning Group draws up, maintains and reviews arrangements for dealing with major incidents. It co-ordinates responses across the council and works closely with the councty's emergency services and district councils to ensure that the people with the rights skills are well-briefed and ready to react.

Kent Community Risk Register (link opens in the same window)
The Kent Community Risk Register has been published by the Kent Resilience Forum and informs the joined-up approach to emergency planning, locally, regionaly and nationally.

The Martime and Coastguard Agency (MCA)
The MCA is responsible for implementing the government's martime safety policy across the UK. It co-ordinates search and rescue at sea through Her Majesty's Coastguard, and checks that ships meet UK and international safety rules. The agency works to prevent the loss of lives at the coast and at sea to ensure that ships are safe and to prevent coastal pollution. The following links open in a new window:
