Information for householders
If you wish to have a builders skip or container located on the
public highway, it is necessary for the skip or container to be
covered by a local Highway Authority licence.
This licence will ensure that the correct public liability
insurance cover the skip or container and that statutory traffic
management is adhered to.
However, it is not necessary for you to apply for the licence.
The skip company from whom you hire your skip will do this on your
behalf.
