You can have a verbal agreement lease for up to 3 years, but we would recommend having it in writing.

A defined notice period turns a tenancy into a lease.

Sell a lease

If you are the landlord and your tenant wishes to sell the lease, check the lease to see what it says and your obligations will also be set out in section 1 and  section 2 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1988.

Break dates

A break date is a clause in a lease which lets the landlord, tenant or both end the lease early. Read more on GOV.UK about ending a commercial property lease early.

Renew a lease
