Adult social welfare
Our adult social welfare team advises and represents professionals who work with adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities, and those with issues relating to mental health and old age. Our lawyers are drawn from both private practice and public sector backgrounds and have extensive experience advising our clients on the law and helping them to find solutions. We advise on complex Data Protection Act issues and Freedom of Information requests in respect of social services matters. We have considerable experienced in the growing area of law relating to disclosure of Social Services' material in criminal proceedings and the management of parallel proceedings and have been proactive in negotiating a Local Information Sharing Protocol.
