Biography

Rosie qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and worked in private practice until 2008, after which she was employed by a not for profit organisation as an in house solicitor; carrying out pro bono and legal aid work specifically aimed at domestic abuse victims.

Rosie is experienced in a wide range of child and family law matters including international child abduction, wrongful retention/removal, permission to relocate abroad  and shared care cases.  She has acted in divorce and financial provision matters and cases concerning care and contact arrangements for children.

Working with domestic violence victims enabled Rosie to identify subtle and more complex aspects of domestic abuse, for example cultural and honour based violence, and to sensitively assist victims in seeking legal recourse such as non-molestation/occupation/ transfer of tenancy orders.  Rosie's clients often presented with a wide range of personal difficulties, requiring patience and sensitivity in providing appropriate legal advice and representation.

Rosie joined the Kent County Council Legal Service in July 2015.
