Biography

Gill joined KCC Legal Services in as a legal secretary in1998. She became a trainee Legal Executive, qualifying in 2004. Gill became a Fellow of the institute in 2006.

Gill has significant experience in child protection matters dealing with internal clients across a broad spectrum of work in this area. 

She is experienced in dealing with requests for disclosure of information from the police in relation to criminal investigations, under the national and local information sharing protocol.

As part of the Legal Services training team Gill has provided training to foster cares and newly qualified social workers to help them gain a better understanding of the Court process and their role in that process. Part of that training was to ensure that those responsible for writing Court statements have a clearer understanding of the Courts requirements and what was expected from them.

As Senior Legal Assistant Gill also supervise a team of legal assistants whose roles are to ensure that solicitors are provided with the support and assistance necessary so that they in turn can provide an efficient and effective services to their client's. She works hard to ensure that her colleagues are supported. Gill also assists solicitors in the day to day management of their cases.

Gill appreciates the importance of providing clear and practical advice to clients. She endeavours to provide a cost effective service by ensuring tasks are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
