Trevor was educated at Oxford University. After qualifying as a solicitor he has practised in the area of Social Services law with Kent Legal Services since the early 1990s.
Trevor leads a large team of specialist lawyers based in Canterbury. He has a broad based practice covering all aspects of social welfare law and has taken a particular interest in the development of a comprehensive training programme delivered to Kent's own client base, as well as to external agencies. Trevor has pioneered the development and extensive use of legal assistants, who now form an integral part of his team in supporting the work of solicitor advocates.
Trevor has a knowledgeable and keen understanding of the particular requirements of social work clients and the pressures they face. He has been at the forefront of various initiatives in practice and procedure, working closely with senior Social Services managers, as well as liaising with external stakeholders, including the local judiciary.
Trevor's main focus more recently has been in responding to the greater demands placed upon his service following the 26 week timetable for care proceedings and in meeting the challenges arising from the increasingly active and complex areas of adult protection and mental capacity.
