Biography

Graeme was educated at the University of Leeds and joined Kent Legal Services as a senior solicitor in January 2010 after 25 years in private practice in Gravesend and Medway. He has, throughout that time, practised in family law and has been an accredited specialist in children law since 1994. He was involved in the leading case of Re B (Children) [2008] UKHL 35; [2008] 2 FLR 141.

Graeme was a partner in a leading practice in North Kent for 17 years and has regularly appeared as an advocate in interim and final hearings in care and other family cases. He now generally deals with more complex cases involving child care or adoption, providing management, support and advocacy for more junior colleagues.

Graeme also devises and presents a range of training programmes designed for both social work and legal teams, including in pre proceedings procedures, the PLO, report writing and court skills.

Graeme's approach is intended to reflect a professional but approachable style, with good client communication at the forefront; a strategy essential to good client relations and to advocacy that may secure the desired result for the client.
