Emily qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in February 2011.
She joined Kent County Council in 2008 having previously worked as a Legal Assistant specialising in residential and commercial property in private practice law firms.
Between 2008 – 2010, Emily played a vital role in spearheading the council's 2 year Voluntary First Registration Project. This important project resulted in the significant majority of the Council's previously unregistered landholding being registered at the Land Registry.
She currently works on a wide range of commercial property matters, including acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold properties; the grant of academy leases, nursery leases, licences, deed of covenants and Land Registry title and first registration queries.
Emily also deals with the council's land compensation claims under the Land Compensation Act 1973 – Part 1.
