Sarah was educated at the University of Hull and the College of Law, London. Sarah has extensive knowledge in local government having worked for both district and county councils. Sarah qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and joined Kent County Council in January 2008.
Sarah provides advice on a wide range of planning issues, regularly advising Kent Legal Services' internal and external clients and specialises in drafting and negotiating section 106 agreements. She undertook a secondment at Waverley Borough Council between January 2011 and January 2013 where she advised on all aspects of planning law.
Her highways experience includes drafting and negotiating complex highways agreements and providing advice on all areas of highways law including parking matters, traffic regulation orders and enforcement. Sarah regularly advises the public rights of way team.
Sarah led the in house team for the Kent County Council (Filming on Highways) Act 2010, advising on the procedural aspects of the private Act of Parliament and co-ordinating the implementation of the powers once the Act had been passed.
She regularly writes legal updates for clients and has organised and presented seminars for clients. Her clients have praised her professionalism, helpful advice and speedy delivery.
