Sage qualified in 2003 in private practice at a Legal 500 firm where he continued to build up his knowledge and expertise in Public Law  He joined Kent County Council (Kent Legal Services) in 2006.

Sage is a passionate and committed public law lawyer and has worked throughout his career on major projects and administrative law matters. Sage frequently deals with complex Judicial Review matters and has defended numerous claims.  He has also brought and defended appeals to the Court of Appeal. He advises on complex Gypsy and Travellers matters, ranging from licence breaches to allocation policies and the recent changes under the Mobile Homes Act. He advises on Freedom of Information Act and Data Protection. He assists with all Adult Social Care matters, including, in the Court of Protection. He regularly conducts cases on Ordinary Residence disputes and has managed to help clients make significant savings, as well as recovering significant sums of money. Sage regularly advises on safeguarding alerts involving care homes.

Sage advises on policies for the Council and on consultation when changes in provision are proposed.

Sage is regularly praised for his work ethic, his focus on finding solutions to problems and his speed in delivering his advice.

Sage provides regular training to our clients on public law matters and writes legal updates on Community Care.
