Debra has worked in the legal team since 1997 as a secretary securing promotion to legal assistant in 1998.

Debra has extensive experience in dealing with disclosure of material to the police with regard to criminal investigation cases. She has a good relationship with all police officers and as a Disclosure Officer travels throughout Kent to schools to ensure that material disclosed falls within the statutory disclosure tests under the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996.  Debra assists Police forces outside Kent in accordance with protocol set up to share information in the best interests of vulnerable children.

Debra also attends Crown Courts under Order to disclose material on behalf of KCC schools.

Debra has primary responsibility to check and seal construction contracts that KCC enter into at school sites.

Debra undertakes debt recovery work including issue court proceedings. She also supports colleagues in other legal areas including in Employment Tribunals.

Debra takes pleasure in maintaining a high standard in all areas of her work on behalf of the legal team.
