Biography

Prior to coming to the Bar, Winsome worked as a Probation Officer and Forensic Mental Health Social Worker in London.

Winsome is a Barrister and was called to the Bar in 2003. She completed pupillage at Garden Court Chambers (formerly 2 Garden Court) and then worked for a specialist mental health solicitor's firm as a consultant.

Winsome re-joined the Bar but decided to set up as a Sole Practitioner Barrister at Tupwood Chambers.

Prior to joining Kent County Council as a locum lawyer in December 2014, Winsome worked with Kent Community Health NHS Trust as the Trust Lawyer.

Winsome has experience in a number of legal specialisms such as Adult Social Care, No recourse to public funds, Age Assessments, Child Care, Inquests, Mental Health, School admissions and appeals

Winsome has been a Specialist member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal since 2002 and is a lay member of the Police Misconduct Panel for West Midlands Police.
