Kerry joined Kent Legal Services in 1999 as Legal Assistant. She was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2006, and went on to qualify as a solicitor in 2007.

Kerry specialises in all areas of the law relating to Kent County Council's adult service users. She advises on the full spectrum of issues that can arise in connection with those persons in the community who may be vulnerable due to old age, disability or mental ill-health.

Kerry has been instrumental in improving awareness within the council of the law relating to adult social care. Regular updates are provided by Kerry meeting with individual teams and producing a quarterly Community Care Law Update.  In addition Kerry has played a significant role in the creation and delivery of training that has been developed to meet client needs in this area, including deprivation of liberty, mental health nearest relative, and court skills.
