PTLLS Level 4 - City & Guilds qualification
Introduction
This course is aimed at people who:
Would like an introduction to teaching or are looking for career
progression into teaching or training within their area of work. It
would also benefit anyone who regularly makes presentations to
groups and would like to improve their technique. The course is
aimed at individuals who teach or train on a one-to-one and/or
group basis.
Course content
This course is made up of 5 sections:
1. Understand own role, responsibilities and boundaries of role
in relation to teaching
2. Understand teaching and learning approaches in the specialist
area
3. Demonstrate planning skills
4. Understand how to deliver inclusive lessons which motivate
learners
5. Understand the use of different assessment methods and the
need for record keeping
There are 2 assignments – 1 theory and 1 practical, each made up
of 7 tasks. To achieve the qualification candidates must
successfully complete both assignments, covering all 5
sections.
Duration: Typically a 9 week course (1 day or
eve a week)

23rd January 2012 – Dartford (daytime)
