Level 3 diploma - First line management

Introduction

Register with our CMI Approved Qualification Centre to study for a qualification that is recognised throughout the UK and Europe.

For supervisors and practising managers who have operational responsibility for defined areas of activity. It is also relevant for those wishing to move into a managerial role. Candidates will require the ability to submit written assignments.

Objectives

This diploma programme gives the key skills and competencies you will need to become an effective first line manager.

It will enable the candidate to underpin their management skills with a wide understanding of generic management theory and practice.

Achievement of a CMI qualification recognised throughout the UK and Europe.

Course content

This programme covers the following topics:

  • Personal development as a first line manager
  • Resource planning
  • Meeting stakeholder needs and quality issues
  • Managing and communicating information
  • Developing individuals and teams
  • Recruitment and selection
  • Improving team performance

This qualification will consist of workshops, group meetings, open learning and research and will require candidates to complete 7 assignments.

Duration: One year
Cost: £1725 (split over 2 financial years - £1125 yr 1 and £600 yr 2)
