Introduction

This programme provides the foundations of an approach that will help organisations achieve more with less by making operations and service delivery ‘simply better’. Identifying simple changes to the way things are done and providing more effective and efficient service delivery are challenging objectives, which are increasingly being demanded in today’s economic climate. A bold approach is needed to address them and this Lean improvement workshop is a must for organisations looking for ways to work smarter and to become more efficient.

Objectives

The aims of this ‘Lean Thinking’ workshop will be to give participants an insight into how to sustain, or improve current levels of service in a challenging environment. Participants will learn to:

  • Achieve more with less
  • Identify better ways of doing things
  • Provide more effective and efficient service delivery
  • Apply a proven method (Lean) to help them solve problems and improve their processes
  • Use a selection of practical tools and techniques to help them in their day-to-day activities
  • Identify and reduce waste in their organisations
  • Focus on what’s really important to their customers

 

Course content

This 3 day workshop includes a range of practical tools and techniques to help improve day to day operations and activities.

  • The practical application of Lean Thinking in helping organisations provide value for customers in their day to day operations.
  • The importance of continuous improvement.
  • A better understanding of Directors, Managers and Team Leaders roles in working on their processes with the people in their teams
