Leading a team
Action centred leadership
Introduction
If you want to lead a team, then you have to understand what
makes teams tick.
Good managers and leaders should have full command of the three
main areas of the Action Centred Leadership (ACL) model (task, team
and individual). They should be able to use each of the elements
according to the situation. Being able to do all of these things,
and keep the right balance, gets results, builds morale, improves
quality, develops teams and productivity. This is the mark of a
successful manager and leader.
Objectives
By the end of the course you will:
- Develop the key skills of a great leader.
- Know how leaders and managers differ at work.
- Discover your leadership style and how to flex and adapt when
needed.
- Be able to apply ACL and learn how the 3 parts of the model can
be used at work.
- Create an action plan to take back to work.
- Begin to use key ideas from the model, which will enhance your
style as a leader, enhance team morale and increase the team's
success overall.
