Emotional intelligence - 2 day workshop with EQ-i assessment

Introduction

Have you ever wondered why some people are more successful in life than others? Some studies show that this could be due to a high degree of emotional intelligence – the ability to tap into and understand yours and others emotions and to act accordingly to make the most of every situation. Emotional intelligence has been attributed for up to 85% of success in leaders.

The price of this workshop includes an Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i) assessment and feedback session with a qualified (British Psychological Society) member of the Kent Learning and Development Team.

Objectives

  • Gain an insight into emotional intelligence, what it is and how you can use it.
  • Develop an awareness of the BarOn EQ-i model, used to measure emotional intelligence.
  • Develop self awareness and self management of personal emotions.
  • Explore ways to advance personal emotional intelligence.
  • Recognise emotions in others, responding to those emotions in order to inspire high performance.

  • What is emotional intelligence and its key components
  • Introduce the BarOn EQ-I model
  • Occupational emotional intelligence and self-awareness
  • Empathy and relations for improved communications
  • Managing your own emotions to positive outcomes
  • Understanding change and others – difference in communication and decision-making
  • Self-motivation & SOCS (Situation, Options, Consequence & Solutions) problem-solving
