Outlook skills v2003
Introduction
This course is designed for delegates who have been using
Outlook but who wish to further their skills and use the email
system more efficiently and effectively. This course is tutor led
and hands on. It will enable the delegate to maximise Outlook to
its full potential with regard to organising and manipulating mail,
folders and views.
Objectives
- Create and send and receive email messages
- Use the address book
- Send attachments
- Understand the importance of housekeeping
- Use out of office settings
- Create custom signatures
- Create contacts and mail lists
- Use search folders to organise messages
- Use rules
- Use flags
- Use various printing techniques
- Use various housekeeping techniques
- Use the calendar
Course content
- A general recap on best and most efficient ways of creating and
sending email messages
- Inserting and saving attachments
- Inbox views (e.g. folder list, preview pane), the Drafts
folder
- Using contacts to create personal groups and setting up
Internet entries
- Efficient ways of sorting messages
- How to use views and the field chooser, as well as how to group
messages
- Use of the calendar to enter and edit appointments
Duration: half a day
