Using MS Publisher - IT training

Introduction

This training course is designed for new or self-taught users of Publisher. It covers all the basic skills required to produce a professional publication. The training course is hands on and practical in nature, led by an experienced tutor. Delegates will have plenty of time to practise using the graded training exercises, and advice will be given as to use of the best font and colour schemes and the most effective layouts for specific types of publications. The range of publications covered is; posters, one page publications, brochures, newsletters and publications for mail shots.

Course content

The training course will cover explanation of the Publisher environment, the different views and toolbars. Also included will be the use of different publication types, inserting and formatting text, inserting clipart and pictures from file, using autoshapes and text together, grouping and ungrouping, etc. The delegate will be able to create a variety of publications using the automatic features as well as from a blank page. The practice documents produced during the training course will enable the delegates to use a wide variety of styles and layouts to improve their own future publications.
