Microsoft Project essentials training
Introduction
This training course is for new users of
Microsoft Project who want to be able to use it to manage projects
effectively. Delegates should have knowledge and experience of
project management before attending this training
course - ideal for delegates who have attained the
Prince2 qualification. Delegates will also have access to the MS
Project e-learning materials.
Objectives
By the end of the training course, delegates will be able
to:
- Use Microsoft Project to schedule, monitor progress and
communicate details of a project
- Create a new project, defining scheduling and calendar options
for the project
- Define tasks, timing and work breakdown structure
- Determine relationships between tasks
- Create a resource pool and assign resources to tasks
- Use different strategies to manage resource over
allocation
- Manage the project as it progresses, tracking work in progress
and managing conflicts
- Create effective printed reports on the project
- Combine multiple projects and consolidate resources
Duration: 2 days tutor-led training, 6 months
access to e-learning materials valid from date of training
Cost: £500 per delegate, inclusive of access to
MS Project e-learning package
