A practical approach to risk assessment

Introduction

This course is designed for all staff with a responsibility for carrying out risk assessments in their area of work. Ensures best practice and provision of a safe working environment.

Objectives

To enable participants to undertake risk assessments in their own workplace
competently and confidently.

Course content

  • To enable participants to learn and take part in practical risk assessment activities
  • Identifying hazards
  • Assessing the risk
  • Eliminating hazards/reducing risks
  • The legislative framework

Part 1 - delegates will be given the necessary tools to go back into their workplace and carry out a risk assessment.

Part 2 - will give delegates the opportunity to return with feedback on what worked and seek advice on any problems.

Duration: 2 half day sessions
Cost: £80 per delegate
