PASMA mobile tower training
Introduction
This training course covers the safe use of mobile towers and
meets all current PASMA requirements. The Work at Height
Regulations 2005, require that the assembly, dismantling or
alteration of mobile access towers should only be undertaken by a
competent person. On successful completion a five-year certificate
will be awarded.
Objectives
This training course is intended for employers, employees and
the self-employed or anyone who works at height and needs to use a
mobile tower. The training will be carried out in accordance with
the Working at Heights Regulations, current HSE guidelines on the
erection of mobile towers and BS 1139.
To give attendees knowledge of relevant Regulations, Codes of
Practice and good safe working practices, together with hands-on
practical skills to enable them to safely erect, move, alter, use,
dismantle or inspect lightweight tower scaffolding.
Course content
The course offers technical input, supporting workbook, group
discussion and practical activity at heights with
scaffolding/towers.

- Stability of mobile towers
- Safe use of mobile towers
- Repositioning of mobile towers
- Mobile tower inspections and mobile tower
dismantling
