Management of contractors
Introduction
If you ask someone to come and work on your premises, you are
likely to be a “client” in the eyes of the law. Clients have
specific responsibilities in relation to these contractors on their
premises, and these responsibilities have recently changed.
Objectives
- To help premises managers understand their responsibilities
under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2007.
- This course will definitely save you time and trouble, and may
also save you money, as well as helping you stay on the right side
of the law.
Course content
The course will cover what should happen when you do things such
as:
- Ask a local plumber to mend your hot water system
- Arrange to build an extension to your property
- Find a pest controller in Yellow Pages to get rid of the
ants
- Decide to refurbish the reception and offices
- Organise quad biking for your summer fete
Duration: Half day
