Accredited persons training (Penalty notice for disorder and
fixed penlty tickets)
Introduction
This is an accredited training course run by the Community
Safety Partnership and meets the criteria required for
accreditation. It would be of benefit to accredited persons in
partner agencies seeking to promote sound neighbourhood
management.
Objectives
To provide the knowledge and skills base to enable an accredited
person to issue a PND (penalty notice in connection with
disorder).
Course content
By the end of this course delegates will:
- view the issue within the context of government’s plan to
identify alcohol as a causational factor in anti-social
behaviour
- have a working understanding of all relevant legislation
- identify actions to be in place prior to the issue
- be familiar with the procedures involved when issuing
tickets
- be able to comment upon the completion of subsequent paperwork
to establish a ‘court proof’ casefile (regina v turnbull)
- identify those supervisory / management issues relating to the
operation
- understand appropriate street skills for this task
- identify health, safety and diversity issues relevant to the
task
