Community safety training

The Community Safety Training Partnership (CSTP) is a Kent County Council and Kent Police joint training initiative. The Unit is part of the The Kent Learning and Development team based in Sessions House, Maidstone.

The focus of the Training Partnership is very much based around consultancy, design, development and delivery of specialist training and support for those engaged in the Community Safety Arena and Extended Policing Family.

The CSTP Training Advisors are qualified to deliver various specialist training topics that include Prevent Strategy, Equality and Diversity, Adult Protection, Child Protection, Child Exploitation and Online Protection, Domestic Abuse, Professional Witness, Section 17 of the Crime and Disorder Act, Appraiser/Appraisee Training, Communication Management, etc.

The CSTP is also responsible for delivering all Kent Police approved Police Accreditation Training, in compliance with Section 41 (4) of the Police Reform Act 2002.

The team carry out in-depth research and forge vital links with key specialists and other partners to ensure that the bespoke training programmes they design and deliver are relevant, up-to-date and fully support key performance and delivery targets.
