Information for contractors

Property & Infrastructure Support maintains a Select List of Approved Contractors which can be used by KCC sites if they need to arrange for works to be carried out up to the OJEU threshold. KCC advertises opportunities for contracts in excess of £50,000 on the South East Business Portal and projects in excess of the OJEU limit are advertised in line with EU procedures.

To be accepted onto the list contractors need to meet the following criteria:

• sound technical knowledge and relevant qualification(s)
• high quality of workmanship
• adequate taxation certification and insurance provisions
• appropriate current licenses
• robust health and safety policies
• environmental awareness
• financial capacity
• equality standards

Please note Property & Infrastructure Support does not operate an approved list of suppliers and recommends suppliers contact consultants / contractors directly. KCC’s Procurement Contacts provides a list of people to contact about providing goods or services to other KCC departments.
