Using the Kent Card - FastCash
FastCash is a facility that allows you to use
the Kent Card to make a payment directly to an individual's bank
account. This is useful when it is an individual providing your
support and they can not accept VISA enabled cards.
FastCash provides a useful alternative when
you need to make payments for support. Payments can be made via
FastCash as often as is needed.
When should you use Fast Cash?
You should use FastCash where you wish to make
a payment on your Kent Card, but the payee does not accept
cards.
How does it work?
To use FastCash, you need to contact the Royal
Bank Scotland (RBS) Customer service hotline on 0870 909 3702 to
request a FastCash money transfer. You will need to answer a number
of security questions, including confirming the 3 digit number
shown on the signature strip on the reverse of your Kent Card.
Once the security checks have been completed
you will be asked to provide the telephone operator with the bank
account number and sort code of the bank account that you want the
funds transferred to along with the amount of the payment.
Your card account will be debited immediately
and payment will show in the payee's bank account 3 to 4 working
days later.
The transaction will show on the Kent card
statement with ‘Card Money Transfer’ in the description and the
supplier's bank account will have ‘FastCash Ind’ in the
reference.
There is a 0.5% charge for the use of FastCash
which will be charged to the Cardholder account.
If you have any questions about making
payments with FastCash please contact 0870 411 5537.
Please note: not all building societies will
accept FastCash payment. Please contact your building society to
see if they accept 6-digit sort codes and 8-digit account
numbers.
