Older people's services

Many of us will need social care at some stage in our lives, whether for ourselves, a relative, friend or our partner.

The number of people over 85 in the UK, the age group most likely to need care, is expected to increase by over 50 per cent to 1.9 million over the next decade.

In Kent there are around 246,994 residents over the age of 65 and it is estimated that this number will grow by 39.3 per cent by 2021.

More information is available in our strategy for adult social care in Kent, Active Lives Now.

The video below shows how we support older people in Kent to live independent, fulfilled and safe lives in their local communities.
