Psychological therapies
Treatment is available for people who have a
mental health needs and want to talk through their problems with a
trained therapist.
There are many different treatments but the main ones are the
following:
- Cognitive behavioural therapy
- Psychoanalysis
- Counselling
How to access psychological
therapies
- There are many services available but in the first instance you
should speak to your Care Coordinator or GP, who may be able
to refer you to a counsellor or
psychotherapist
- For people with sensory needs, you can access
psychological therapies
through, the National Deaf Services, who provide a clinic in
Maidstone and Canterbury.
