How we can help you
Everyone who is on the scheme:
- gets to choose their own carer(s)
- shares a clean home that is well looked after
- has their own room that they can bring their
own things to put in it
- can be visited by friends and family when they want -
or arrange to visit them
- be part of a local community
- has the company of other people
- their own independence
- gets to meet new people and make new friends
- can get the help you need to do things you chose to do
- keeps at least £40 each week to buy or do the things they
want to do.
Carers help those they look after to:
- learn new skills,
- keep and practice existing skills
- become more independent
- go to the doctors or to the hospital
- do day to day activities that may require some support.
Carers only share information about those they are caring for if
they need to keep you safe or to get help that you need. All the
carers have been trained and have had Criminal Record Bureau
(police) checks.
If someone on the scheme wants to contact someone about
something they are not happy about then they can talk to:
- their carer(s)
- their case manager or
- an Adult Placement Scheme Officer.
