(Title slide) “Working in social care…”
(Slide) Nikita, Care worker , Mount
Ephraim House
(Nikita) I enjoy helping people.
That’s what makes me feel happy…so coming here and seeing the smile
on a residents face when you help them do a task, that really fills
me up.
(Slide) Michelle, Care worker, Mount
Ephraim House
(Michelle) It's just knowing that you
have, sort of, made someone’s day a little bit better every
day.
(Slide) Daisy, Care worker, Mount
Ephraim House
(Daisy) The main thing for me, is
just wanting to go into work, not having to feel it’s such an
effort. I really enjoying it immensely actually (laughs)
(Nikita) It’s a challenge; it’s a
different thing every day. It’s not the type of job when you go
home and that’s it, it’s something different every day.
(Daisy) I mean, because we have such
good residents and care staff, we all just have a laugh really, you
know, it’s one big family.
