Future of care for older people
The Older People's Futures consultation closed
on 1 November 2010.
On Monday 14 June 2010, Kent County Council’s Cabinet
agreed for Kent Adult Social Services (KASS) to enter into a formal
consultation process on the future of its Older Person’s Service
Provision.
A questionnaire was developed and a total of 499 people
contributed to the consultation in this way. View the

From 21 June 2010, KASS Officers met with staff, service users,
relatives, trade unions and other key stakeholders to provide
information on the proposals for the future provision of older
person’s services and begin the official process.

The consultation closed on 1 November 2010. Having considered
the recommendations and responses to the proposals, decisions on
each unit have been taken on 13 January 2011 by the Cabinet Member
for Adult Social Services.
