Approved provider lists

Many services that provide care in your own home are KCC Approved Providers.

An Approved Provider is regarded by Kent Adult Social Services (KASS) to have a combination of service standards and price that represent the best value.

To reach this decision we firstly focus on quality. We look at the outcomes of our evaluation of the service. We also take into account feedback from Care Managers, Service Users and other Local Authorities.

Secondly, we check the price against the amount we expect to pay. If both quality and price are satisfactory, the service is regarded as an Approved Provider.

The status of Approved Provider is changeable because it depends on a service maintaining basic service standards and remaining affordable. KASS monitors services providing care in your own home.

Care in your own home services may be awarded Approved Provider status, but may not necessarily have a contract. This is because despite the fact that they meet Kent's quality requirements, there is not enough demand to award everybody a contract.

The following are conditions upon which a provider for domiciliary care services becomes a KCC Approved Provider.
